Let’s end digital violence against women and gender diverse people

Join the ILGA World meet-ups: a space dedicated to our membership to share their experiences, learn from each other, and support our global communities!

Together, we can end digital violence against women and gender diverse people!

Online spaces have become important spaces for connection, empowerment, and advocacy, especially for LBTI women and gender-diverse people. Many of them have found communities, love, jobs, and a voice, which has made them more visible and helped them live and thrive.

But sadly, women, especially LBTI women and gender-diverse people, face targeted forms of digital violence rooted in misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia. This violence silences them, threatens their safety, and reinforces real-world discrimination and offline harm.

Ever been to an ILGA World members’ meet-up?

These events are informal meetings of our global membership. They provide a platform for peer exchange, learning, visibility, and global solidarity.

The next meet-up will take place on 05 December, during the observation of 16 days of advocacy and activism, a safe space to share in conversation about digital violence.

Join our new meet-up, exclusively dedicated to ILGA World member organisations, to

  • discuss how digital violence impacts our communities
  • collectively share strategies for resilience, prevention and advocacy
  • share good practices about being safe online

Main speakers

  • ILGA World committee members
  • You!
